Jeff Baker
Mentoring Committee - Chair

Jeff is the director of technology sales for PK Engineering. He has served as a deacon and teacher of singles ministries at Faith Baptist Church for several years. Jeff specializes with people who have experienced divorce and are trying to juggle the unique responsibilities of single parenthood. He has been part of the Sportsmen’s Spectacular, the Living Nativity, and the Lafayette Passion Play.

Chester is a deacon, serves in the choir, and leads a Point Man group. He is also a team leader for the Peacemaker's ABF.

Joe Blake
Community Center Construction Committee-Chair
Counseling Ministries Committee

Joe Blake is the lead engineer of buildings and ground for Eli Lilly and Company, Tippecanoe Laboratories. On a community level, he has served as the third house liaison for the Lafayette Chamber of Commerce and as a coach for local youth baseball leagues. For several years, Joe has been the driving force behind many of the ministries of Faith Baptist Church. He has served as director of a 1,200-person week-long counseling conference, project manager for church building projects, chairman of the committee on strategic planning, and director of college ministries. Joe currently teaches classes on parenting and home schooling, and serves as a deacon.

Larry Bosma
Outreach Committee

Larry Bosma is the owner of Bosma Farms near Americus. He and his wife, Lisa, have been members since 1996. They are currently serving as Team Leaders in the Proclaimers ABF. Larry is a deacon, and helps in Wednesday Night Kids of Faith.

Greg Boyer
Finances Committee

Greg works as an insurance agent for Bill C. Brown Associates and American United Life. He is the past president and a current board member of the Lafayette chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. Greg is a graduate of Leadership Lafayette and sits on the boards of the Northwestern Heights Neighborhood Association and the Purdue Student Union Board Alumni Association. As a member of Faith Baptist Church, Greg serves as a deacon and as a children’s ministry instructor. He and his wife Barb also lead the church’s ministry to special needs children.

Kevitt Brown
Outreach Committee

Kevitt is the Corn Program Director for FFR Cooperative. For several years, he has been an instructor of junior high boys in Faith Baptist Church’s youth ministry. Kevitt serves as chairman of the community center prayer committee and as the church’s liaison to Purdue University’s International Friendship Program. Kevitt also serves as a deacon. As a cancer survivor, Kevitt has also played a key role the church’s ministry to individuals struggling with serious illness.

Tim Catron

Tim is a financial advisor with Smith Barney, Inc.  He is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and a Certified Retiredment Plan Specialist (CRPS).  Tim is a graduate of the Leadership Lafayette Program.  His is also the committee chair for BSA Troop 307 and assists coaching basketball for his son's home school basketball team.  As a member of Faith Baptist Church, Tim serves as a deacon and both he and his wife, Debra, teach 5th grade Sunday School.

John Childes

John is a Branch Manager for Mid-Valley Supply, INC which is a petroleum equipment and service company. He is a member of Indiana Petroleum and Environmental Contractors Association. He is also on the regulatory committee for Indiana Petroleum Marketers Association and a past member of codes and standards committee. At Faith, John serves as a deacon and he and his wife, Patti, are key leaders for the Food Pantry and serve in the Toddlers of Faith ministry.

Larry Cole is a technologist at General Cable, Indianapolis. He and his wife, Julie, have been members of Faith since 2002. They serve as team leaders in the Grace & Truth ABF, in the Nursery ministry, in the tape ministry for the BCTC conference, and as Key Leaders of the Christmas for Everyone ministry.  Larry also serves as a deacon.

Mike Eiler

Mike Eiler serves as the Controller at Bill DeFouw Chevrolet-BMW. He and his wife, Karla, have been members since 1996. Mike has been a deacon since 2004. Karla teaches 1^st and 2^nd grade girls in Wednesday Night Kids of Faith. They serve together as Nursery Coordinators.

Scott Grass

Scott is the assistant administrator of Faith Christian School. He currently serves as a deacon. Scott also sings in the church choir and serves as an Adult Bible Fellowship instructor.

Bruce is the director of annual giving for Purdue University. For the past two years, he has held a position on the Trinity Mission advisory board. As a member of Faith Baptist Church, Bruce serves as a deacon.

Bryce Hufford

Bryce Hufford is a chemist at Eli Lilly, Tippecanoe Labs. He and his wife, Heather, have been members since 2001. They serve as team leaders in the Harvest ABF and leaders in the Nursery. Bryce serves as a deacon, and as a leader of Christmas for Everyone, and Kindergarten clubs helper. Heather started the Moms of Faith Ministry and serves in Wednesday Night Kids of Faith.

Jerry Jamison

Jerry recently retired from management at a production mailing equipment brokerage. He has been a member of Faith Baptist Church for almost forty years. Currently, Jerry serves as a counselor with Faith Biblical Counseling Ministry. He is also a deacon.

Will Johnson
Counseling Ministries Committee

Will is the infrastructure systems administrator for Purdue University. Since joining Faith Baptist Church in 1973, he has been an integral part of the church’s ministry. Having been the church’s music leader and deacon chair for many years, Will serves as a deacon. He is also an instrumentalist in the church’s music ministry and a counselor with Faith Biblical Counseling Ministry.

Dave Jones

Dave works as a human resources specialist with Purdue University. He also serves as a member of the public relations committee for the Lafayette chapter of the United Way as well as coordinator of the fall golf tournament of Faith Christian School. Currently, Dave teaches several classes as part of Faith Baptist Church’s adult ministry, while serving as a deacon.

Mike King
Outreach Committee - Chair

Mike King is the principal in Trinitas Ventures, located in West Lafayette. He and his wife, Deb, have been members since 1991. They are key leaders in the Peacemakers ABF and with the International Students’ Program. Mike has served as an usher, on the FCS steering committee, and on the finance committee for the Community Center. He also oversees the Chinese sermon translation program entitled “Voice for Chinese.”

Jonathan Lambeth
Christian Education Committee

Jonathan is the head of the science department of Faith Christian School. In this capacity, he works with Eli Lilly and Company, Tippecanoe Laboratories as a Partner in Education to enhance his students understanding and experience of science. As a member of Faith Baptist Church, Jonathan serves as a deacon, sings in the church choir, and teaches classes as part of the church’s ministry to adults.

Phil Leighty

In his work as an architect, Phil specializes in structural steel design. Though his children have left the home, Phil volunteers his time as an assistant coach for boys basketball at Faith Christian School. During the summer, he also travels with a boys team in the American Youth Basketball Tour. For the past three years, Phil has worked with local corporations as part of Christmas for Everyone, a program that provides toys and clothing for underprivileged children. Phil is as a deacon at Faith Baptist Church, where he also serves as the coordinator for men’s small group Bible studies and the co-coordinator for men’s ministries.

Mike Sandry

Mike Sandry is Director of Sortation Solutions for Pitney Bowes. He and his wife, Sally, have been members since 1999. They currently serve in the four and five-year-old Sunday School room and are the Harvest ABF Outreach Coordinators. Mike leads a Pointman group and Sally serves at Matrix Lifeline Crisis Pregnancy Center.

David Selvey
Global Ministries Committee - Chair

David is the president of Selvey Heating and Cooling Inc. On a community level, he is a member of the Clinton County Chamber of Commerce Board, the Rossville Business Association, and the Greater Lafayette Chamber of Commerce. As a member of Faith Baptist Church, David sings in the church choir and teaches two classes as part of the church’s ministry to adults. He also serves as one of the church’s deacons.

Bob Smith

Counseling Committee

Bob Smith has lived in the Lafayette area since 1977, where he has worked as a physician for Home Hospital’s emergency room and Arnett Clinic’s urgent care. Now retired, Bob is a member of the board of trustees for the National Association of Nouthetic Counselors. He is an instructor and counselor for Faith Biblical Counseling Ministries, where he oversees the training certification of several counselors. Bob serves as the current chairman of deacons for Faith Baptist Church and teaches several adult ministry classes.

Jonathan Smith
Youth Committee

Jonathan Smith is the Director of Technology for Faith Ministries. He advises a number of regional ministries on audio and technology needs and is a conference speaker on ministry technology. He has been a member since 1990. Jonathan is also a Key Leader in the Living Nativity, Passion Play, BCTC, VBS, and SMITE, and serves on the design committee for the Community Center.

Paul Smith
Youth Committee - Chair

Paul is the director of lecture demonstrations for the chemistry department of Purdue University. He currently serves as the president of the Mulberry Town Council and as the advisor for the Beta Nu chapter of the chemistry fraternity Alpha Chi Sigma. He oversees the church’s technology ministry, serves as a deacon, teaches in church’s adult ministry division, and holds the position of church clerk.

Mike Streitmatter

Mike Streitmatter operates a large family farm in Jasper County. He and his wife, Cheri, have been members since 1997. Mike has been a deacon since 2005. He now serves as the Junior Department Leader, as an usher, and in Living Nativity. They serve as teachers in the 5th grade Sunday School.

Ned Sutherland

Ned works as a city mail carrier for the United State Postal Service. He serves as the republican precinct 25 committeeman for Fairfield township and as a member of the United Way labor participation committee. Ned is an adult ministries instructor at Faith Baptist Church and serves as a deacon. Ned also sings in the church choir, works in the technology ministry, and participates in the church’s drama ministry.

Dan Wickert

Dan works as a physician with Lafayette Obstetrics and Gynecology. He currently serves as the president of Women’s Health Care Associates. As a certified counselor and lecturer for the National Association of Nouthetic Counselors, Dan volunteers hundreds of hours each year in free counseling through Faith Biblical Counseling Ministry. He also teaches several adult ministry classes at Faith Baptist Church and serves as a deacon.
