Course Description: This class is the first in the series of computer classes and will start with the basics of turning your computer on, learning toolbars, and interacting with all those dialog windows. We will show you how to organize where you save your files so it is easy to find your information. This class will cover the basics of what an operating system does versus how the Office applications may perform. Safely navigating the Internet and finding things you were searching for on the internet will round out the topics discussed in this first series.

LS 107 What’s New in MS 2007

Course Description: This short class is designed for those that are familiar with Office 2003 and need to see the changes in Office 2007. This is a high level overview of what is new in Office 2007, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. It is designed for people that have upgraded from Office 2003 or are planning to in the near future.

LS 150 Building a Quality Resume
Schedule: 3 weeks, September 10 – September 24

Course Description: This course teaches the purpose of a resume and the different types of resumes. Participants will learn best practices regarding resume writing. Time will be allotted for questions and individual resumes will evaluated.
Homework: 2 – 4 hours of homework per week
Instructor: Lee Morrison. Lee Morrison is a Residential Life Manager at Purdue University and holds a master's degree in education from Purdue University.
