Dr. Robert Jones serves as a Professor of Biblical Counseling at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. Prior to this role, he served for nineteen years as a lead pastor in West Virginia, and then twelve years as a professor at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, and as a part-time Biblical Counseling Pastor in Raleigh, NC. Dr. Jones has taught adjunctively at Faith Bible Seminary, Westminster Theological Seminary, and at several seminaries in Brazil. He is a Council Board member of the Biblical Counseling Coalition, a Certified Christian Conciliator with the Institute for Christian Conciliation, and a Fellow with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors. Bob has written three books, ten mini-books, and numerous book chapters and journal articles. He is an active member of Third Avenue Baptist Church in Louisville where he counsels, trains counselors, and leads a home group. Bob and his wife, Lauren, have two adult sons and two granddaughters.
