- Area churches distribute gifts to the parents on Distribution Day.
Receiving Assistance
Parents or guardians can sign up their children at the American Red Cross office, located at 615 N 18th Street, Suite 101, in Lafayette, Indiana. Specific dates and times are available on the American Red Cross Tippecanoe County Chapter web site.
When parents sign their children up, they provide clothing sizes and a Christmas list with toy suggestions for each child.

Sponsoring a Child
The Red Cross works with churches that are members of the Tippecanoe Evangelical Association of Ministers and Ministries (TEAMM) to help find sponsors for children. A sponsor receives a child’s Christmas list and purchases $35 worth of gifts for each child.
To sign up to sponsor one or more children, visit the Christmas For Everyone table in the church foyer on Sundays. For 2011, the signup dates are 11/13, 11/20, and 11/27.
All sponsored gifts should be returned to the Faith Community Center. For 2011, sponsored gifts should be returned by 12/4.
(In addition to the TEAMM churches sponsoring children, several local business donate toys or money that is used to buy toys. These toys are used as “bonus” gifts that the parents can select for their children.)
