GOER Short-term Missions

In July 2012, the Global Outreach for Edification and Reconciliation (GOER) ministry and Summer Missions in Teen Evangelism (SMITE) ministry team up for a missions trip to Jamaica. Our teams will be participating in ministries such as VBS, construction, teaching, preaching, orphanages, and possibly public school ministry.

Dates

Trip dates: Saturday, July 14 - Sunday, July 22, 2012

Payment dates: The first payment of $100 deposit for a plane ticket is due Oct.30, 2011.

Registration

The trip cost is approximately $1,500. The first payment of $100 deposit for a plane ticket is due November 14, 2011.

Participants must be members of Faith Church and must commit to training. For more details about requirements for short-term missions trips, please review the GOER overview.

Why Jamaica?

Pastor Andy Woodall made the connection with missionaries Gary and Marty Crawford this past summer while serving together at Twin Lakes Camp. Andy was impressed with the Crawford’s passion for the Lord, their work in the Caribbean, and their family.

The way the Crawfords' ministry is arranged, our leadership team sees this as a prime opportunity to promote the GOER ministry while teaming up with the SMITE ministry. Up to forty-five people can participate while being subdivided into three focused groups of fifteen to most effectively minister to the churches and communities in Jamaica.
