AMR 101 Basic Emergency Medical Responses - This class has been cancelled due to low enrollment
Schedule: 8 weeks, Mar. 3 - Apr. 21
Fees: $60 payable to the American Red Cross; to be paid at the first session.
Course Description: The purpose of the CPR/AED/FA training course is to train lay responders to overcome any reluctance to act in emergency situations and recognize and care for life-threatening respiratory or cardiac emergencies in adults, children and infants. Students must correctly answer at least 80% of all test questions, attend, participate and successfully complete all skill sessions and attend every session being offered. Students will receive certification in CPR (adult/child/infant), AED (adult/child), Standard First Aid and Bloodborne Pathogens. CPR/AED and BBP certification is valid for 1 year and Standard First Aid is valid for 3 years. In order to receive certification, students must attend class every week.

Instructor: Amy Houck. Amy Houck became a part-time instructor in August 2008 for the Tippecanoe County Chapter. She has taught several classes for the chapter since becoming an instructor and enjoys it very much. She most recently certified over 100 students in Adult CPR at Harrison High School.
