The mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) is to create positive mentoring relationships to benefit children based on the proven concept of a professionally matched and monitored friendship between a caring adult and a child at risk. Carefully screened, trained, and committed volunteers, nineteen years of age or older, may serve as Big Brothers/Sisters. Spouses may serve together as Big Couples. Professional staff members make and monitor each match to assure that attention is appropriately focused on each child’s needs and safety. |
