Car Works provides assistance to selected community members having automotive problems and experiencing a financial hardship. These people we help may have a job, be able to pay their rent, and keep food on the table, but they seldom have much money left over for preventive maintenance on their cars—and even less for major automotive repairs. Typical work would include repairing brakes and exhaust systems, replacing defective engine components (such as starters and water pumps) and performing tune-ups and oil changes.
