Course Description: This class is the first in the series of computer classes and will start with the basics of turning your computer on, learning toolbars, and interacting with all those dialog windows. We will show you how to organize where you save your files so it is easy to find your information. This class will cover the basics of what an operating system does versus how the Office applications may perform. Safely navigating the Internet and finding things you were searching for on the internet will round out the topics discussed in this first series.

LS 115 Basic Microsoft Word - FULL

Course Description: The student will learn basic skills to operate Microsoft WORD and to become familiar with techniques that are used on a daily basis. This class is limited to a maximum of 25 individuals and is held in room 214 at FBC.

LS 130 Introduction to Microsoft Access - FULL

Course Description: The student will learn the basics of an Access Database. We will be using Access 2003, and learn the basics of Tables, Forms, and Reports. Each week builds on the previous week. This class is limited to a maximum of 20 individuals and is held in room 201 at FBC.

Course Description: If you have been considering applying for a new job or changing careers this class is a great way to brush up on your interviewing skills and have an advantage over the competition. This class will cover everything from your clothing, to etiquette, to answering those tough interview questions. Find out what employers are looking for and how you can set yourself apart.

LS 215 Building a Quality Resume
Schedule: 3 weeks, March 26 – April 9

Course Description: This course teaches the purpose of a resume and the different types of resumes. Participants will learn best practices regarding resume writing. Time will be allotted for questions; in addition, individual resumes will be evaluated.
