LS 230 Before You Buy or Sell Your Home

Course Description: “I didn’t expect that cost!” “We are in over our heads!” These kinds of statements are heard too often from home buyers who didn’t understand all that they were getting into. This class will help answer questions like, “Am I ready and prepared to buy a home?” and “How will I avoid the mistakes that people make when buying a home?” You really can start off on a solid foundation before you buy your home. This class also addresses questions dealing with selling a home, such as, “How do I know what my house is worth in today’s market?” or “What do I need to do to get my house ready to sell?”

Course Description: Introduction to Investing is designed to help individuals gain a basic understanding of the world of investing. You will learn investment terminology, investment and risk management strategies. You will also learn about the basics of financial and retirement planning as well as succession planning.

Instructor: Tim Catron. Tim Catron is a Financial Adviser with Smith Barney since 1983. He is a CFP (Certified Financial Planner) and a CRPS (Chartered Retirement Planning Specialist). Tim is a FBC Deacon who teaches 5th grade Sunday school with his wife Debra and they reside in West Lafayette with their 4 children.
