Discuss: What are some fundamental principles that a man should keep in mind when he engages in financial investment?

Discuss: What passages of Scripture come to mind that support these “investing principles”

Discuss: What are some common “complaints” that you hear from men about the lack of relationships in the following areas:

  • Wife/Intimacy
  • Children
  • Church/Friends
  • Community

A possible root issue that binds all of these concerns together is that men are not investing appropriately in relationships.

Question: What really has God designed life to be all about?

Discuss: Let’s think this through from a Gospel centered way….what in the Gospel of Jesus Christ motivates us in this area of relationships? How did Jesus invest? When did Jesus invest? What are the returns on His investment?

Discuss: How have you seen God bless when you invested in LOVING RELATIONSHIPS OVER TIME? What did you do along the way even when you did not see immediate returns? Be specific and practical in these areas….

Dr. Brent Aucoin joined the staff of Faith Church in Lafayette, IN in July of 1998. Brent is the President of Faith Bible Seminary, Chair of the Seminary’s M.Div. Program, Pastor of Seminary and Soul Care at Faith Church (Lafayette, IN); ACBC certified; instructor and counselor at Faith Biblical Counseling Ministries; and a retreat and conference speaker. He and his wife, Janet, have two adult children.
