Accelerated Reader

Accelerated Reader (AR) is a popular reading program that provides personalized reading practice for each student; assesses performance; and allows teachers, students, and parents to see student progress. Faith uses Accelerated Reader as a core part of reading in elementary grades.

The AR Process

  1. Student Reads a Book. Students choose books at their appropriate reading levels and read them at their own pace. Parents can use AR BookFinder or talk to your child’s teacher to help select books.

  2. Student Takes a Quiz. Accelerated Reader Enterprise offers more than 140,000 quizzes to help you motivate and monitor students’ reading and vocabulary growth.
  3. You Get Information. Teachers get immediate feedback on the reading and vocabulary progress of each student. Parents can view student status and growth at AR Home Connect.
