Catie Heim

Catie Heim received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music and Audio Technology from the Masters College in May 2013. She began her piano studies at age five and performed in competitions and festivals throughout her youth. At age 11 she began performing as a singer, and later as a guitarist, with her family in The Pearce Family Bluegrass Band. She performed with the band on summer tours across the country; to date, the band has produced 3 full albums. 
Catie took up the guitar as a teenager and fell in love with the instrument. She has won numerous awards including 1st place in "Rhythmic Guitar" at the Topanga Music Festival and 1st place in "Three Part Harmony" alongside sister, Molly, and mother, Traci. In college, Catie was a scholarship recipient for guitar and studied classical guitar under acclaimed guitarist Tavi Jinariu. 
Throughout college Catie taught piano, guitar and theory lessons and has now developed a student base that she loves. She enjoys teaching those that are excited to learn and delights in motivating her students to practice!
