Foster Care & Adoption

3 Weeks
Foster Care & Adoption

Location: Faith Church East (5526 State Rd 26 East, Lafayette)

Class time: 6:30-8:00 p.m. (dates listed below)

Course Description: The Indiana Adoption Program is a statewide initiative to find adoptive homes for children in foster care. We are a partnership between Children’s Bureau, Inc. and Indiana Department of Child Services (DCS). The number of children in foster care or waiting for adoption in the state of Indiana rises every year. As that number rises, so does the need for homes, families, and support.

The goal of this class is to give you an overview of the options in Indiana for those with an interest in foster care or adoption through the state. We will also seek to answer your questions and support you if you choose to move forward and seek to become equipped. We will hear from a Department of Child Services Representative and an advocate from the Indiana Adoption Program. The format of this class will be kept causal so that we can answer your questions, fears, or concerns as we seek to be a voice for these precious children.
