Purses with a Purpose

Why?

We keep costs very low for residents to be here because we never want money to be a reason for women not getting the help that they need.
One of the ways we help keep costs low is through annual fundraisers. Our upcoming fundraiser is Purses with a Purpose (purse & jewelry auction) taking place April 1.

Supporting Vision of Hope

By bidding in the VOH silent or live auction, each bidder agrees to the following rules:

1. All purchases are final, and there will be no exchanges or refunds on items unless otherwise noted. No warranties are made with respect to the value or quality of the merchandise or services auctioned, and all sales are “As Is.” Please read item descriptions carefully for restrictions, limitations, and expiration dates. Unless otherwise specified, all items and services must be used within one year.

2. The purchaser should pick up all items and pay for them before leaving Saturday night. Any item left unclaimed, without prior arrangements, will be sold and the proceeds will go to VOH. All purchased items must be removed by the purchaser.

3. An estimate of fair market value of all items is included on the Auction receipt, but this estimate is not warrantied by Vision of Hope for tax purposes. The amount you pay above this fair market value estimate is normally tax deductible as a charitable contribution. Please consult your tax adviser to clarify any amount of deduction.

4. Payment for items purchased must be made in full during pickup. VOH accepts cash, checks, or credit cards. Please note that credit card payments will have an additional 3rd party processing fee added to the total. This fee may be covered by our guest, or it can be paid by VOH. Checks made payable to VOH do not have any processing fee added.

5. VOH reserves the right to add or withdraw items to or from the Auction without notice. We reserve the right to revise pricing on items without notice.

6. It is the responsibility of the successful bidder to make contact with the donor as specified on the certificates. All dates and times are by mutual agreement between the purchaser and donor. Purchasers are requested to contact donors as soon as feasible following the Purse Auction to schedule their events. All auction item activities and services must be used within one year after March 4, 2023, unless otherwise specified. Vision of Hope assumes no liability for any injuries to buyers arising from the purchase or use of any auction items.

7. During the live auction, bidders must hold up their paddle numbers (given at the check-in table) to signify their bid. The highest bidder acknowledged by the Auctioneer will be the purchaser. The Auctioneer will have the sole and final authority to determine the winning bidder. Bidders are financially responsible for the use of their paddle numbers.

8. All Wish List donations will go towards the item or project specified. The item or project may change slightly depending on availability, pricing, and the funds raised. Any excess funds will be used at the discretion of VOH.
