New Testament Survey

Course Description: New Testament Survey takes students through a survey of the entire New Testament, with a focus on understanding the major contents of each book. This course examines the literary structure, historical backgrounds, geographical settings, and parallel passages to enhance comprehension and application to contemporary issues and concerns. Furthermore, this course covers the major themes and events of the books of the New Testament tracing the major developments and rich history, highlighting unique and important features to help aid believers in their own personal study of each book.

Note: This course will not meet on March 25 due to Spring Break.

Note: This class meets the requirements toward the NT bible knowledge certificate course.

Bio

Wesley Shoop is the IT Manager for Athletics at Purdue University. He and his wife, Sara, have a daughter, Isabella, and have been members of Faith since 2003. They attend service at Faith Church West. They also lead a Faith Group that meets weekly and serve together on Sunday mornings. Wesley regularly teaches Overview of the Bible (Old Testament and New Testament) for Faith Community Institute. He and Sara are also the coordinators for Vacation Bible School and Christmas for Everyone’s sorting, packing, and pricing activities.
