Class time: 6:30-8:00 pm (dates listed below)
Course description: The prophetic books of Isaiah through Malachi have captivated the attention of Bible students for centuries and continue to arouse keen interest from scholars and laymen alike. It is essential that students of Scripture understand the purpose and content of these books. Accurate comprehension of these books is critical to the development of a biblical view of Old Testament history and Messianic Prophecy. The purpose of this course is to help each student to understand the necessity for judgment, God’s use of grace, and how the prophet’s stories and messages can still be applied for believers today. Students will learn historical and theological themes such as the Day of the Lord, the sin, judgment and restoration of Israel and Judah, and the Sovereignty of God over the Kingdoms of Man. Though the prophets spoke to a particular audience in his day, he revealed truths relevant for all of God’s people through history.
