I. The Picture of Our Need – Communion with God

Exodus 25:8 - Let them construct a sanctuary for Me, that I may dwell among them.

A. Fellowship with God

1. Eating and drinking with God (table/sacred bread)

2. Abiding in God’s House (lampstand)

3. Intimate dependence (mana, incense – Psalm 141:2)

B. Purpose

1. Worship/service – “Now even the first covenant had regulations of divine worship”

2. Priestly role – Aaron’s rod

3. Instructions on living out the values of God – the tablets of the covenant

C. Status – glorious

II. The Problem with Our Need – A Perpetually Defiled Conscience

III. The Person for Our Need – Jesus Christ
