Naoto (born in the U.S.) grew up in Japan, but he spent most of his adult years in the U.S. He got married to Erisa in Los Angeles in 2014. Erisa was a second-generation missionary and a certified biblical counselor. God has given them two boys, Toshiki and Subaru.

In 2022, they were designated as missionaries to Japan by Faith Church. Naoto also graduated from Faith Bible Seminary (M.Div.) in June. However, later in the year, Erisa was diagnosed with cancer, and she passed into the presence of her Savior in heaven in February, 2023.

After some time of mourning, rest, and contemplation, Naoto was convinced to continue in his pursuit of missionary work in Japan. His vision has been the same as before: strengthening the local churches in Japan, based from Bethel Baptist Church in Saitama (north of Tokyo) where Erisa's parents planted.

Mission

To fulfill the Great Commission, Naoto makes disciples of Jesus Christ in Japan. He will strengthen local churches with the emphasis on church planting and biblical counseling ministry.
