Faith Community Fitness Center Rules

You must be an active Fitness Center member or purchase a guest pass to gain admittance to the Fitness Center.

Children, age 12 and under, are not allowed in the Fitness Center.

Fitness Center members, age 13-17, must have a consent form signed by their parent and a family physician on record at Faith Community Center before entering the Fitness Center and may use the facility unsupervised, provided that there are no discipline issues. If disciplined, they must be accompanied by a parent on future visits.

Equipment Use & Care

Please wipe down equipment after each use with the cleaning products provided by the hallway exit doors.

Please replace your weights. Equipment is not to be left on machines or on the floor. Please do not lean weights on machines or walls.

Use a spotter when lifting with free weights.

Collars are mandatory on all barbells (weight clips.)

Weights must be controlled down and are not to be dropped or banged during or at the conclusion of repetitions.

Personal Items

Gym bags and coats are not permitted in exercise areas. Do not leave valuables unattended. Locker rooms are provided for your convenience.

Please bring a lock to secure your belongings in a locker and remove when finished (do not leave overnight.) Any items left behind will be discarded.

Faith Community Center is not responsible for lost or stolen goods.

Please refrain from use of profanity. Failure to do so could result in loss of access to the facility.

Dressing modestly is expected. Proper attire must be worn at all times. No sandals, work boots or bare feet are allowed in the Fitness Center at any time. Blue jeans are unsafe to wear while using treadmills and bikes.

No food or drinks are allowed in the workout areas, with the exception of water bottles.

Be courteous during peak hours. Limit use of cardio equipment to 30 minutes. Continue to next weight station if doing more than one set.

Please only watch TV shows and channels that are appropriate for everyone in the Fitness Center, including 13-17 year olds.

Report all injuries and equipment/facility irregularities immediately to a staff person. An incident report must be completed.

Equipment in the fitness center may not be taken out of the center for personal use. Due to liability concerns, privately owned fitness equipment is not to be used at Faith Community Center.
