The Lafayette Community Skate Park is a 20,000 square foot outdoor concrete park on the Faith East campus. This park contains many unique features that celebrate the astronauts of Purdue University and the basketball culture of the state of Indiana while creating great lines for incredible runs. This park can be enjoyed by many skaters, bikers, and bladers simultaneously and users of all skill levels will find challenges to stretch their abilities.
The original park opened in 2007 and was expanded in 2008. The $190,000 project met a long-desired community need and hundreds of area youth benefitted from the skate park each year.
In 2025, the park was relocated to its current position and built by Hunger Parks - an expert in the skate park construction business. This park was an example of our community's care for the bikers, scooters, skaters, and bladers of the area. The Lafayette Community Skate Park 2.0 was the result of generous giving by the City of Lafayette, the Tippecanoe County Commissioners, various businesses in and around Greater Lafayette, and members of Faith Church.
A signed waiver is required for anyone using the skate park.
In addition to many small businesses and corporations contributing funds toward the Lafayette Community Skate Park, there were many individuals and families who privately contributed to the project. To everyone who has helped to make the Lafayette Community Skate Park possible, thank you. We are grateful to have partnered with you on meeting such an important community need.
