Traditionally a community development corporation (CDC) is a not-for-profit organization which works to encourage growth and stability of a community - normally specific neighborhoods or communities that are under-served or low-resourced.  This can be done through a variety of means:

Faith Community Development Corporation hopes to conduct, at a minimum, all the functions associated with a traditional CDC and has chosen as its first primary focus the northern neighborhoods of Lafayette. FCDC is strongly committed to the concept that the people who live, work, and serve in these neighborhoods are the experts, and we plan to joyfully work alongside them. We are excited about the work the Lord will allow us to accomplish.

Why do we want to do this?

We have a vision of a community where every Greater Lafayette neighborhood sees visible demonstrations of God's love.

How do we accomplish this?

FCDC seeks to develop affordable housing and faith-based resources to help all of us in Greater Lafayette achieve God's best as individuals and neighborhoods.
