Dr. Baker serves as the Resource Director for Faith Church Ministry in Lafayette, IN. She is the author or co-author of over a dozen books and booklets. Dr. Baker is an ACBC certified biblical counselor; an instructor and counselor at Faith Biblical Counseling Ministries, and a Council Board member of the Biblical Counseling Coalition.

Heather Starkweather has been on staff since 2007. Heather supervises the intake process for each new resident. She also cares for the social services needs of each resident during their entire stay. She coordinates the education, health, and goals for all residents. Heather supervises all the counselors at Vision of Hope. She trains staff and interns and co-counsels with volunteer counselors.

Nickey joined the staff at Faith in 2012 when she became a Vision of Hope intern and later joining the Vision of Hope as Weekend staff. She is our household manager and is also the lead counselor for 6-8 residents. Nickey is passionate about serving and ministry and whatever way she can share the love of Christ with others.

Heather Putney came to serve as an intern at Vision of Hope in July 2019 and joined the staff team in June 2020. Then she became the Intern Coordinator in February 2021. Heather recruits, hires, trains, and oversees the interns. Heather is thankful for the opportunity to serve staff and interns at Vision of Hope. She is also excited to witness God’s redemption plan for each woman’s life as they continue to depend on and seek Him for their healing.

Rachel joined Vision of Hope as an intern in July 2020, joined the staff team as part-time shift supervisor in February 2021, and started full time as the fundraising coordinator in November 2021. Rachel plans and coordinates all fundraising events and also serves as a counselor for 5-7 counselees. She loves the opportunity to serve the staff, interns, and residents at Vision of Hope while witnessing the incredible work God is doing in sanctifying each person and glorifying Himself!

LuAnn Drew

Bio

Since LuAnn’s biggest passion is discipling women, she sought out the internship opportunity at Vision of Hope in October 2020. During her year of serving as an intern, she realized that she also really enjoyed working at the Reclaimed Hope store. LuAnn quickly recognized that she loved promoting our ministry and assisting costumers with their purchases. She never thought that she was capable to become staff. However, God showed her otherwise. She was hired as shop staff in October 2021. LuAnn is now thriving and constantly saying, “I love my job.”

Pam Toft

Bio

Pam has spent years working either in customer service or as a secretary for a doctor’s office. However, she has always desired to serve in ministry with women in some capacity. She never thought in her wildest dreams that she would receive that dream, but God had other plans. Pam was hired at Vision of Hope in December 2021 using her skill set as our secretary.

Olivia Stafford

Olivia came to Vision of Hope as an intern in April of 2021. In February 2022, she started working on part time staff. Then, the beginning of June 2022, Olivia began working at Vision of Hope full time. She is one of the counselors, as well as part of the Intake team for new residents. Oliva loves the ministry here and is amazed at how we get to see the Lord redeem the lives of those that come to VOH. It is an incredible ministry opportunity, and she is so thankful that she gets to serve the Lord in this way!

Mikayla Hawk

Mikayla is from Texas. She began as an intern in July 2021. Her original end goal was to work with minors either in a residential setting like Vision of Hope or to simply gain practical knowledge of working with women firsthand. The Lord was faithful because just before her internship had ended, she was hired on as one the parttime on-duty staff. Her hope is to become a biblical counselor one day.

Betty Trumble

Betty has the privilege of providing support throughout the daily schedule at VOH to both the women serving as interns and those receiving care in the program. She originally pursued a career in massage therapy partly for its flexibility, hoping to become more involved in ministry someday. She is eager to be serving at VOH, passionate to share "the comfort with which she herself has been comforted by God." (1 Corinthians 1:4) In her free time Betty enjoys learning about art, healthy living, apologetics, evangelism, and theology. She is currently pursuing certification as a biblical counselor.

Patti started volunteering at Vision of Hope in April 2022, and joined the staff team as part-time in October 2022. She finds it a blessing to serve ladies using her medical background, compassion, and faith in Christ. She is thankful the Lord has given her the privilege to share truth and grace, and the opportunity to watch how the Lord changes lives through His word. Romans 15:13--He is our God of Hope.
