Small Groups Associated with Faith Community Institute

Registrations occur at the beginning of the Fall and Spring semesters.


A variety of small groups and ongoing mentoring relationships are available through Mom2Mom during their normal Wednesday evening class times during the school year.  Mom2Mom is offered through Faith Community Institute.

2018 Spring Small Groups

The final week of Spring 2018 Small Groups is the week of May 13th.  Fall Small Groups will begin in August 2018.  Watch for registration forms and updated small group info toward the end of summer.

    • Join this small Bible memorization group for mothers and elementary aged daughters (5-11 years old) as they will discuss and memorize together two chapters from the Bible: Psalm 27 and 63.  This is a great way to hide God's Word in your heart and share the delight of scripture memorization with your family.

Online Small Group

Online Small Group

  • Weekly with assignments beginning on Sunday of each week.
    • Studying the book Misreading Scripture with Western Eyes: Removing Cultural Blinders to Better Understand the Bible by E. Randolph Richards and Brandon O'Brien.  This book is designed to increase biblical literacy.
    • $10-$15 and must be purchased in advance.  Not available in MRC.
    • Led by Jocelyn Wallace
    • Must have the ability to access and use Facebook, as all group discussions will be held in a Secret Facebook group.  There are daily group participation requirements (see below).
    • All group members must be able to participate in the following weekly assignment schedule:
      • Sunday through Tuesday - Complete the weekly reading assignment.
      • Wednesday - Post a short one paragraph or a 5 minute or shorter video as a personal chapter response on the group's Facebook page.  Feel free to respond to each other's responses as you'd like.
      • Thursday - Read and respond to the Online Discussion Question by either posting a short one paragraph answer or a 5 minute or shorter video on the group's Facebook page
      • Friday - Respond to at least two postings from other members for the Online Discussion Question.  You may respond to as many as you'd like.
      • Saturday - Read and respond as you'd like.
Special Situations

There are several other ongoing small group, mentoring, and private/family counseling opportunities that exist for women facing particularly difficult circumstances in their personal life, marriage, parenting, work, and/or family.  If you would like more information about these small groups, mentoring, or counseling please email the Small Group Coordinator.  These groups are not publicized for a variety of reasons, but we would be happy to refer you to mentoring, counseling, or a group that would meet your special needs.
